The timing of this interview is just proof of the Holy Spirit at work! Let me explain:

I haven’t listened to you much all summer because our days are just so different (and I usually have XM kids on when the kids are in the car), but today I was by myself and had TCC on.

Usually when I drive down this certain road, the trees really interfere with the XM signal, but on this particular segment they didn’t. And I had just enough time to listen to the segment right before picking up the kids from daycamp.

I am in my fourth year of taking care of my husband’s dad in our home. He has vascular dementia. Let me just say I’m not embracing it. It’s very hard right now that he’s near the end stage. Although Ellen’s interview didn’t provide information to me per se, it did provide a new way of looking at things and some comfort.

    Thanks!

    Dearest Ellen

i share the vasular demetia of my mom. I also experienced mom calling me-’ mom’ to the caregivers( which she thought they were friends that visited) i had while i was at work.
well i knew she meant me, but they told her , her mom was dead and she was devistated. when i got home at night she was so happy and told me how weird they were, that i was dead.
i told my mom ,they dont kknow, so just say Charma(my name). I would tell her, they dont know and we would laugh.
before she died she saw the other side` she said “look at all the nuns, no ,they are men and women in robes,,they wave at me and smile but dont say anything, and their eyes are amazing. she said I prayed the most beautiful prayer i ever prayed. she said im waiting for you to tell me when ( wow i was overwhelmed) then she fell, being that independent getting up when unsupervised.and she said ” this wont do!!!! ( hospice nurse knew imedietely what she meant )she went into a deep deep sleep, and the day after her birthday the next morning 6 am , i went in and i prayed over her and she passed in my arms thanks for letting me share, she was my best friend.
