Paper Weaponry

Submitted by Greg on 09/04/2008 – 6:12 am12 Comments

Sam’s latest creation. He saw a picture of a Gatling gun and decided to make his own to add to his collection of paper guns, swords, and other items if destruction. It used to scare us, but now we marvel at his ability to make 3D representations of just about anything simply with paper and tape.

What an awesome kid. That replica is incredible. There was a quote from yesterday’s show that was something along lines of “little did we know, we were getting a genius.” I loved it.

Wow thats really good job for just paper and tape.
Im amazed with the details on the end of the barrel and such.
I see an mechanical engineering degree in his future.
    I’m 40 and couldn’t do that well.
    Well done.

Loved the paper creation thing guys. With a 9 yo son myself, I cannot begin to tell you how much fun can be had with a 3-foot high stack of obsolete corporate letterhead and a lifetime supply of scotch tape. We buy tape by the caseload at the warehouse club. Why?? Because it’s cheaper than an Xbox, or a Wii, or a PS3, etc.

Hope I’ll get to hear the show someday – not a subscriber yet, but keep it up anyway!

Awesome! Maybe he has a future with WETA workshop…

  • Wow! This is pretty impressive. I used to use a bike handle and a stick to make my swards as a kid : )

Nice work. Very creative. Now you need to teach him the 3 rules of safe gun handling. 1)always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot (I see his finger is on the trigger) 2) Always know your target and what is beyond it. (unlike a former vice-president who will remain un-named). 3) Keep your gun pointed in a safe direction (he has it pointed up which is very good; as long as there isn’t another room directly above him). God bless you all and thank you for the show. It will be Monday by the way; the baby that is.

  • Haha not bad kid, very similar to the way I make mine. ive made 22 different guns and I want to show them off on the internet but I don’t know a website to put it on or how to get it on google.
