Father and Daughter

We’re currently at the doctor’s office, having Lily checked out for the first time by the pediatrician.

She’s been doing great, but the doctor at the hospital wanted us to bring her in after 48 hours just to make sure everything is continuing to go well.

And believe it or not, but it sure seemed like she just smiled and cooed at me for the first time. Both Jennifer and I were surprised because we didn’t think babies ever reacted that early.

Overall, we’re simply blown away by how good of a baby Lily is so far.

She’s nursing like a champ, she’s sleeping well, and she’s just been an awesome baby so far.

We’re praying constantly that she stays that way!

  • Lily really is a sweet little girl. I got to go hold her for a couple hours this AM & loved every minute of it. She smiled at me once too!!!!

  • Oh, it’s so heartwarming to see Greg and Jennifer and their beautiful daughter in pics. Thank you for generously sharing her with us! I love that you named her Lily. That’s my grandma’s name so it brings a smile to my face every time I hear or see it.

    God bless you all!

  • Greg, I think you are smitten! Congrats! Happy to hear she’s a trooper…she’ll have to be with all those brothers! Enjoy her! Blessings. Darren

  • The baby is so cute. Makes me want another!! God bless Lily and the whole family. I just went on your website today, figuring you had to have a baby by now. I am sure she was well worth the wait!! Congratulations!

  • Congratulations on your new blessing!
I could actually feel the family’s joy over the airwaves yesterday!
Thank you for sharing your joy.

  • She looks very sweet with her proud daddy holding her. Glad you all are getting your rest. Enjoy all the little smiles and noises, they are so cute when they are that little!

    Praying for you all everyday.

  • Jennifer and Greg-

Congratulations on the baby girl! She looks great. Glad to see she took after Jennifer for the hair gene.

Greg- I it has been my experience with my 5 children and 5 grandchildren that, the first girl is so ever special in Dad’s eye. Do enjoy your new “little princess” (that’s what I called my first and to this day she still is)

I have an idea for your solo days while Jennifer has her well deserved time off. Why don’t you invite Carl Anderson, Supreme Knight, of the Knights of Columbus to be on your show? Your ratings would increase 100 fold when you consider all Knights (like me) that could listen will.

    Anyway Congrats again!

  • Congratulations! I know you’re excited to have Lily finally here. Blessings to the whole family!

  • Just like I imagined…..she’s beautiful, and she has Greg & Jennifer’s traits in her and she’s going to make such an impact on the entire family, if not the whole world. Congratulations, Willits family, God smiled upon y’all…obviously!!!!

    Smile back!!

  • She is absolutely STUNNING! God be with you all. She is a gift straight from God above.

Did I miss something, or are Lillian or Grace family names?

  • Welcome to the real world of fatherhood. I realize you have for boys…and maybe I am a little bias, but your Dad skills are truly tested when you are blessed with a little girl. It’s one thing to grow your boys into young men…but with a little princess, it is you that serve as a model for what she will ultimately seek in a husband. I have heard other parents say, No one will ever be good enough for my daughter…to them I ask…Did you show her what to look for?

My goal everyday is to treat my wife the way I believe my daughters husbands should treat my girls…(I have three daughters, Isabel, Elena and Anais) God bless…Love your show!

  • Greg & Jennifer:

Congratulations and blessings to both of you. You and your family are shining examples of living the Gospel everyday. I don’t get to listen to your show on Sirius, but I used to listen to the Rosary Army Podcast all the time so I feel some kind of connection.

To Greg, welcome to being father to a daughter. I know you’ve got 4 boys already, but there is something to having a daughter. My brothers and I used to kid dad about how soft he was with our only sister. Two of us now have daughters and we both now understand dad a little better. It’s the greatest.

Anyway congrats again and God Bless.

  • Ah, that special Father-Daughter bond has already begun! I always remember how our Meredith would just light up like a Christmas tree whenever her dad was near. And they are soul mates to this day.

    How blessed you are!
