Patti asks:
I believe I heard Greg mention on your program that he has an app for his iPad for the bible. My son-in-law who is not Catholic but whom we pray may someday join the Catholic Church, is looking for a Bible app for the iPad and wants to use a Catholic bible app if possible.
Love our program on The Catholic Channel — I listen frequently when I am driving in my car!
I’ve used YouVersion since it came out, but honestly, I don’t use it very often at all. To my knowledge, I haven’t seen an actual NAB Bible that seems like it would be worth buying.
Anyone else have a recommendation for Patti?
I suggest the “New Testament Ignatius Catholic Study Bible” you can download it from ignatius press and read it through iBooks. So far no good apps that I have found. If I was smart enough I would create one.
Try these:
1. Olive Tree Bible Software (http://www.olivetree.com/).
2. Laridian PocketBible (http://www.laridian.com/).
3. Free Kindle app and the following e-Books from Amazon.com: “The Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament” and “The Ignatius Bible” (RSV 2ndCE).
imissal catholic….is the best and it is only $4.99 in the i tunes app store
