Thanks again for sticking with me as I re-launch the Imperfect Living strip. Â This week features a new character based on a buddy of mine. Â Those of you who also listen to the podcast I co-host with my wife may recognize this dude and understand why I gave him the t-shirt I did.
I’m embarrassed to admit how many Sundays I’ve spent throughout my lifetime making faces like these.
While it’s been some time I posted a new Imperfect Living comic, I’ve continued to work on developing it in different forms. Then, my wonderful wife totally surprised me at Christmas with a new iPad and Apple Pencil and it feels like a million doors of creativity were opened up. Since then, I’ve been doing more strips than ever, but have been holding onto them so that I can start putting them out on a more frequent basis.
To the handful of you who have stuck around as a patron of this effort, many, many thanks! God willing, I’ll be able to grow this into something more over time. Ideally, I’d love to create enough of these to actually publish them in a book.
In the meantime, here’s a brand new Imperfect Living strip for you, with more to come!

Folks who know me know I’ve always loved to draw. I did comic strips in high school and college newspapers, and smaller projects along the way. As we had kids, my time to draw was limited, but in recent years I’ve found that the more I feed my creative side, the better I do in other areas of my life.
For Christmas this year, my wife got me some new cartooning supplies, and I was quite surprised how fun it was to slip back into the role of cartoonist once again.
I already have several other ideas brewing in my head. Let me know what you think!
